8 months!

I really can't believe that Max is already 8 months old! I feel like each month is going by faster and faster! He is learning so much and is growing so fast right before my eyes. Here are some things I want to remember about our little man at 8 months old:

-He is standing up to everything! He is constantly pulling himself up to couches, tables, our legs and anything else that is near him. He has even started walking around our coffee table or along our couches. This has made nap time and bed time hard because now he just stands up and plays in (or eats) his crib.
-He is really such a happy little boy most of the time but he does get frustrated and bored easily.
-He got two teeth this past month!
-He says "dada" and sometimes says "mama"
-He LOVES food! We give him little tastes of our dinner each night and he can't get enough.
-He climbs up stairs like a champ. He is getting really fast.
-He sleeps for 10 hours each night. He normally falls asleep between 7:30 and 8:00 and wakes up around 6:00.
-He will reach for whoever he wants to hold him. I love it.
-He is very ticklish! It is so cute to hear his little laugh.
-He still hates to cuddle. I keep hoping that one day he will start being a cuddle bug. I doubt it will happen but hey, I can dream right?
-He wears size 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers.
He got sick of me taking pictures :)
We really love Max so much and are so grateful to have him in our family. I have no clue what we would do without him and his busy little self.

#2

Max got his second tooth today! It came in much easier than the first one did. When he woke up this morning, I checked his mouth and nothing was there but when I got home from work, there it was! He looks so cute with his two little teeth! I know that the top ones are pretty close so I hope they come in as easy as this one did!

On a side note, Max is standing up! He is seriously into EVERYTHING. We can't hide anything from him. I never realized how busy I would be with a little crawling/standing/grabbing machine! He definitely keeps me on my toes but I love it.

It's here!

Max's little tooth finally pushed its way through his gums last night while he was sleeping. We are so grateful that it is finally here (especially after the day we had on Sunday). He has been so grumpy and irritable over the past couple of days. It was so sad to see him in so much pain. Now that his tooth is here, he is back to his normal happy little self.

Yes, he is wearing a Star Wars onesie. Cameron found it and had to have it.

To celebrate the arrival of the tooth, we let Max play with the clean laundry, eat newspaper and chew on the laptop cord. He couldn't have been happier.

We also gave him some spaghetti for dinner and he LOVED it!

Family Adventure

Today we went on a little family adventure up to Midway. Cameron was up there for work the other day and saw a cute dairy where they make their own milk and cheese and he wanted to go up and buy some. We stopped at the outlets in Park City on our way up there and bought some clothes for Max.
So excited for our family day!

Taking a little nap on our way up there.

Max loves ice cream.

Baby Daxton

Max got a cute new cousin today! We love little Dax so much. It is hard to think that Max was that little just a few months ago! Max really loves him and kept trying to grab him.

p.s. holding that cute little baby may or may not have made me baby hungry :)

New Years

So I've never really been one to make New Years resolutions. I'm not sure why but I just never have. This year though, I have made a goal that I hope I will work on throughout the whole year (and not just through the month of January). I thought it would be a good idea to write about it on my blog so that hopefully I would continue to have motivation with it.

This year, my goal is to make dinner every night. This may not seem like that big of a goal but for me it will be. We normally eat some sort of "dinner" each night after Cameron and I both get home from work but it usually isn't very healthy, filling or yummy.

I created a Google Calendar where I will plan meals for a month at a time. This way, we already have the meals planned for each night and there won't be any "What are we having for dinner" questions. Plus, Cameron and I can both look at it and make changes to it if we need to. I actually started this last week and I am loving it! I just hope I feel as excited about it in August as I do today!

So if any of you have any yummy, easy meal ideas shoot them my way (aswenson5@gmail.com)! I would love to try new recipes.
